The Cool Cat Cart
The Cool Cat Cart consists of caps, head wraps, and toboggans, as well as snacks and refreshments for the patients (examples of these items can be seen in our shop tab). Due to the impact of COVID-19, our process of giving out the apparel to the patients during their treatment has been altered to a hands-off process. Instead of us walking the cart around to each patient during their treatment, we have decided the safest route is to drop off the cart and let the patients help themselves whenever they feel most comfortable.
This remote process is hindering our ability to have conversations and make personal connections with the patients. Since we are not able to be in the hospital with the patients, we are coming up with a program to start and maintain relationships with individual patients virtually.
